What is the certification process?
When all tasks have been initialled by the Assessor, the papers are signed by both Assessor and candidate and forwarded in batches to eDCC with a cover sheet, a batch control list of candidates' names with details of the work completed by each candidate. Copies of the working documents and/or printouts should be kept by the Centre. Papers are verified at eDCC and a numbered certificate for each assessment paper despatched by the eDCC office with an invoice. Ideally, payment for completed assessment papers should not be made by the Centre until the invoice is received.
How is eDCC verified and monitored?
An OCR Assessor may visit a Centre to monitor procedures or request examples of candidates work to be sent to the eDCC office along with the assessment papers. OCR assessors will then check them for quality. Copies of assessment papers and examples of students' work should therefore be kept for twelve months after the certificate is issued.
What is the registration procedure?
Print out or photocopy the contract onto your own headed paper and fill in the details. Send the completed contract to us together with payment. After payment is received a master pack of assessment papers, batch control sheet and postal sheet will be dispatched. The registration fee covers the cost of a master pack, supporting materials, any updates which are produced and the right of the registered centre to photocopy the master pack as many times as necessary for its own use.
How much does it cost? How is eDCC used?
eDCC is based on a flexible learning approach and as such can complement any study programme/course structure. There are no set time limits for the eDCC Assessment Scheme. These Assessment Forms are designed to allow teachers and trainers to adapt eDCC to suit their own schemes and projects.
How accurate must the paper be?
All papers require 100% accuracy.
Who can be an eDCC Assessor?
Assessments are carried out by those who are nominated as eDCC Assessors by their organisation. All Assessors must be registered with eDCC and any change of assessor must be notified to eDCC in writing by the Centre.
How is the Assessment done?
Assessors initial each of the ten tasks as it is completed by the candidate. Either direct observation of the screen or examination of hard copy can be used as evidence of completion. When the paper is completed the Assessor must sign it and print his/her name on the paper in the spaces provided.
