WHY USE eDCC
Because EDCC courses are designed to be:
Flexible
For candidates: They can undertake any assessment at any of the three levels they choose. There are no entry requirements. Assessments can be completed at several sessions if needed. There is no time limit or formal course to be followed.
For teachers: Assessments are designed to allow teachers to adapt eDCC to suit their own teaching programmes. There is no need to register candidates and assessments are carried out throughout the year.
Quick and Easy to use
For candidates: Each assessment provides a 10 task structure for candidates to work through. This enables them to demonstrate clearly their level of competence in the chosen application.
For teachers: There is a minimal paper trail with clear and sensible evidence of skills. Assessments can be submitted to eDCC throughout the year.
Highly motivating
For candidates: They can achieve a competence certificate at each level and for each module they complete. The courses create confidence that encourages students to progress.
For teachers: eDCC courses provide teachers with the means to develop a clear route to progress students to further courses and qualifications. Courses and assessments are not intimidating, and experience has shown that a broad range of candidates can achieve certificates.
Because eDCC courses and certificates are widely recognised.
eDCC is currently being used as a key assessment tool in over 30 educational authorities and numerous further education colleges, youth clubs and community organisations throughout the UK.
Because it is inexpensive.
eDCC is run by National Inter-Action Trust Ltd, which is a registered charity. It is therefore a non-profit-making organisation and charges no candidate registration fees. The only charges are an annual centre registration fee of £24, an individual charge of £5 per certificate and other minor fees set out on the User Information Page of this site.
